1. Let's get it in the diary! Get in touch with me and lets get planning! Choose a time which isn't going to interfere with naps, work calls or be a stress. Give yourself time to do your lip gloss and plump the cushions before I arrive!

2. Pick what you are going to wear. Coordinate with the colours in your home for this one. Everyone doesn't need to be identically matching, but there should be a loose colour scheme between family members. (Mum tip: pick something you feel great in to start and begin matching the rest of the group from there).

3. Have a tidy up, but don't stress out over perfection! Focus on clearing the surfaces and tidying over doing a deep clean. The camera isn't going to pick up on dust behind the sofa. Focus on the rooms with good natural light and the living room, master bedroom and nursery. Forget about the bathroom. One of the main benefits of a home shoot is the ease of being in your own space. And let's be honest, if you've just given birth or have little ones, cleaning the whole house isn't top of the priority list. If you can't be bothered or don't have space, borrow your parents or a friends home for the shoot.
