This Spring, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing this stunning wedding at Leatherhead registry office in Surrey. The weather was totally on our side, and we had the most perfect sunshine throughout the day!
Following the wedding ceremony, we stepped out into the lovely gardens of Leatherhead Registry Office to take group photographs and to run a mini couples session for the newly weds.
The building at Leatherhead Registry Office was first built during the reign of Henry VIII and its beautiful lawns made the perfect backdrop for a mini portrait session for the newly weds!
I made sure to arrive really early to the venue in order to scope out all the best photo spots before the bride and groom arrived. I was very excited when I spotted this archway of topiary at Leatherhead Registry Office and knew that it would make a fabulous backdrop for wedding portraits of the bride and groom!
I always have a couple of zoom calls with couples before they book me to photograph their wedding. These calls are so important to establish whether or not a photographer is the right fit for you, and also to get to know one another. Over the phone, the newly weds told me that they had a little girl, and that it was really important to them to capture lots of family photographs on their wedding day.
One of the great benefits of picking a photographer who specialises in family photography AND wedding photography, is that you know that they are going to be able to engage children to get the best photographs possible of you as a family on your wedding day.
