Refund policy

1. Cancellations & Rescheduling

1.1 General Family/Child Sessions (More than 48 Hours’ Notice): If you cancel or request to reschedule your session with more than 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled booking, your payment will be refunded to the original payment method, minus a £15 non-refundable administration fee to cover processing and scheduling costs.

1.2 General Family/Child Sessions (48 Hours or Less Notice): If you cancel, request to reschedule, or fail to attend your session with 48 hours or less notice, no refund will be granted, and your payment will be forfeited. This is because the studio slot or location time has been reserved exclusively for you, preventing other clients from booking.

1.3 Special Newborn Session Exception: We understand that newborns arrive on their own schedule. Newborn sessions may be rescheduled one (1) time free of charge, provided that you give the studio a minimum of 7 days’ written notice. Any rescheduling is strictly subject to the photographer’s availability.

2. Gift Vouchers

2.1 Non-Refundable: All gift vouchers and pre-paid session packages are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

2.2 Expiry: Gift vouchers are valid for exactly 12 months from the date of purchase. Any unused balance or voucher after this date will automatically expire.

3. Weddings

3.1 Custom Contracts: The terms on this page do not apply to wedding bookings. Please refer strictly to the cancellation, postponement, and refund terms outlined in your dedicated Wedding Booking Contract, which is provided via email following your consultation.

4. No Refunds for Dissatisfaction (Artistic Policy)

4.1 Artistic Interpretation: The Client acknowledges and agrees that photographic services are inherently subjective and artistic in nature. The Photographer’s style, approach, and creative decisions reflect their professional expertise and unique artistic interpretation.

4.2 Rejection of Images: Because photography is a custom creative service, refunds, discounts, or re-shoots will not be issued based on personal dissatisfaction with the final aesthetic or any aspect of the delivered images. Under the UK Consumer Rights Act, services must be delivered with reasonable care and skill; the Photographer fulfils this by delivering high-quality images consistent with their established portfolio.

4.3 Scope of Exclusions: For the avoidance of doubt, refunds will not be issued due to dissatisfaction with:

  • Personal appearance, clothing choices, expressions, or styling of the subjects.
  • Choices regarding poses, studio lighting, natural lighting, or the number of final images provided.
  • The photographer's signature editing, filtering, or colour-grading style.

4.4 Uncontrollable Variables: The Photographer cannot guarantee specific poses, smiles, or exact results due to variables outside of their control. No refunds or partial refunds will be given if the session is impacted by:

  • The cooperation or temperament of subjects (particularly newborns, infants, and toddlers).
  • Inclement weather conditions during outdoor sessions.
  • Timing limitations or missed shots caused by the late arrival of the Client.

4.5 Portfolio Acknowledgement: By completing your booking and making payment, you confirm that you have reviewed the Photographer's portfolio, accept their artistic style, and waive any right to seek a refund based on personal preferences or changes in aesthetic expectations after the session has taken place.
