Last updated: May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Isabella Fleur Armitage, trading as Isabella Fleur Photography (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, interact with our services, make a purchase from www.isabellafleurphotography.co.uk (the “Site”), or otherwise communicate with us (together, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Isabella Fleur Photography is the Data Controller for the personal data collected through this Site.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly to Us:

We collect personal information that you submit through our Services, including:

  • Contact details: Name, email address, phone number, and postal address (for print deliveries).
  • Booking & transaction details: Order history, billing address, and session details (such as a due date for a newborn session).
  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, or special requests sent via email or contact forms.

Information About Minors (Children & Newborns):

Given the nature of our photography services, we create and process digital images of babies and children. We do this strictly to fulfil the photographic services requested and booked by the parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly target, market to, or collect personal contact information (such as emails or telephone numbers) directly from children under the age of 13. All interactions, bookings, and communications are conducted exclusively with the child's parent or legal guardian.

Automatically Collected Data:

When you visit our Site, we automatically collect certain data via cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and how you interact with our store. This helps us optimise your browsing experience.

2. Our Lawful Bases for Processing Data

Under the UK GDPR, we must have a valid legal reason to process your data. We rely on the following bases:

  • Contractual Necessity: To fulfil your booking, process payments, and deliver your images.
  • Consent: Where you have explicitly opted-in to receive marketing emails or have signed a model release allowing us to display your images.
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve our business, maintain website security, prevent fraud, and manage internal accounting.

3. Third Parties & Software We Work With

We share or sync your information only with trusted service providers necessary to securely store your data and run our studio, including:

  • Shopify: To manage and power our online store and checkout.
  • Payment Providers: To securely process payments (we do not store your credit card details on our servers).
  • Pixieset: To host and securely deliver your online viewing and download galleries.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Lightroom): Used as our primary software for editing and secure cloud-based image cataloguing and backup.

All third-party software partners operate under their own strict privacy policies and utilise recognised international data protection mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to safeguard data.

4. Storage, Backup, & Gallery Security

We take the security of your family images incredibly seriously and maintain a strict data backup workflow to ensure they are never lost or compromised:

  • Local Storage: Raw camera files from your session are stored physically on local, password-protected and encrypted SanDisk high-speed hard drives at our studio, protecting them from unauthorised physical access.
  • Cloud Backup & Editing: Images are synced to Adobe Lightroom’s secure cloud servers for professional editing and off-site backup redundancy.
  • Client Delivery (Pixieset): Your final polished image galleries are delivered via Pixieset, a dedicated and secure image delivery platform protected by SSL encryption.
    • Password Protection: All customer galleries are private and password-protected by default. You will receive a unique link and password via email.
    • Your Responsibility: Once gallery credentials are provided to you, it is your sole responsibility to decide who you share them with. By sharing your link and password with family or friends, you acknowledge that they will be able to view and download your images. Isabella Fleur Photography is not liable for any third-party access, downloads, or actions resulting from you sharing your gallery credentials. You may contact us at any time to change or revoke access to your gallery.
    • You can view Pixieset’s privacy policy here: https://pixieset.com/privacy/

5. Use of Cookies

We use cookies to operate and customise the website, analyse website traffic, and provide targeted marketing (where you have consented). Most web browsers let you manage cookies in your settings, though blocking them may affect site functionality. For more details on Shopify-related cookies, see: https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies

6. International Data Transfers & Retention

  • Transfers: Some of our providers (such as Shopify, Adobe, and Pixieset) store data in the US or the EU. When your data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure it is protected by recognised legal frameworks, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
  • Retention: We keep your contact and order history only as long as necessary for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Digital image files are archived securely for a limited window as outlined in your session contract, after which they are permanently deleted.

7. Your Legal Rights

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have any questions about how your data is handled, please email us directly at: info@isabellafleurphotography.co.uk. We will respond to valid requests within 30 days.
